April 30 NLRB Poster Mandate Delayed From the National Restaurant Associaton: AMBUSH-ELECTION RULING EXPECTED BY MAY 15--Although the NLRB "ambush-elections" rule took effect April 30, a legal challenge remains pending by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the Coalition for a Democratic Workplace (including the NRA). A federal district court judge announced late last month that he'll rule on the case by May 15; while he declined to block the rule, he said this means no union elections will be held under the new NLRB rule prior to May 15. Details of this ruling to follow.
