NYSRA Members Testify Against Paid Sick Leave in NYC
NYSRA's NYC chapters were well represented at the very contentious City Council hearing this week on the Paid Sick Leave bill. Marc Murphy, Manhattan Chapter Vice President spoke at the press conference, which was attended by dozens of different business groups opposing the legislation, as well as a dozen NYSRA/NYNA members, read the complete article in the Nations Restaurant News.  At the hearing itself, Rob Bookman, our NYC Legislative Counsel was one of the lead business group speakers testifying against the bill, Rob received a loud ovation from the audience, which contained  at least 75 business opponents.  Rob was also quoted as NYSRA's NYC Counsel in both the New York Post and The Daily News the next day.
